Workday Student is LSU’s official student information system, serving as the central hub for academic, financial, and administrative services. Through Workday, students, faculty, and staff can access information and complete important tasks related to courses, academic records, financial aid, student accounts, payroll, leave requests, expense management, and more.
Students will use Workday Student to view schedules and grades, access schedule planning tools, register for classes, add, drop, or swap classes, see a campus housing assignment, view financial aid, view a bill, or update personal contact information.
Need more assistance? Visit the LSU Workday Student Resources page for more details.
With the implementation of Workday Student, any student needing to register for research hours, independent study, graduate seminars, courses outside of their department, and any permission of instructor/department course will require an override.
Students registering for multiple sections of the same course will also need an override. Students may also need overrides for repeated courses. Students must contact their department advisor/coordinator to request these overrides. No request can be submitted to the Graduate School by the student alone.
Once the request is submitted, a member of the graduate school staff will process the override in Workday Student. Overrides will not be processed for courses that are full or waitlisted. Time conflict overrides exceeding 20 minutes will not be authorized.
Need academic forms? Visit the Graduate Student Forms page to access the forms you need throughout your graduate career, including degree applications, defense requests, program changes, transfer credit requests, and graduation paperwork.
Master's and Doctoral students who are writing a thesis or dissertation must ensure that all documents submitted to the Graduate School through the LSU Repository are made accessible. Please review the Creating Accessible These & Dissertations presentation and Thesis & Dissertation Handbook to ensure you are complying with the updated federal digital regulations before uploading your document to the Graduate School. Students can download Adobe software through LSU Grok by visiting this overview page.
