Career Prep Week events provide students with the opportunity to build on their professional development skills and network with potential employers. First-year students through seniors are encouraged to participate in these events. Students, employers, alumni, and faculty interested in participating in any of the events throughout the week should register using the online form by Friday, September 25, 2026.

Group Appointment: Event Prep for Career Fair
1:30 - 2:30 PM | Location: LSU Student Union Career Classroom (Room 256J)
Join us for a 1-hour session on how to best prepare for the Agriculture Career Fair on Friday, September 25th! At this session, students will be able to:
- Identify employers of interest attending the recruiting event on Handshake.
- Craft an elevator pitch and develop strategic questions to ask employers.
- Understand what to wear (Dress for Success) and what to bring with you.
- Discuss components of a strong first impression and demonstrate the ability to greet employers professionally.
- How to follow up and expand on your network afterward.
- Ask questions to clarify expectations, gain personalized guidance, and deepen their understanding of career fair preparation.
